Army raid in Chattogram arrests murder accused Qais

A murder accused has been arrested in a special operation by the army to suppress crime and maintain law and order in Chattogram. The accused, named Qais, was arrested in a raid in the Baklia police station area of ​​the city on Sunday (February 1) midnight.

Based on a secret information, an alert team of the army took up position in the Baklia area. The army members were able to arrest Qais in this sudden raid at midnight. The arrested Qais is a resident of Kalu Member Bari in Budhpura village of Patia upazila of Chittagong and is the son of Haji Md. Yusuf Sawdagar. According to Patia police station sources, there was a murder case against him in 2022 in Patia police station.

After the arrest, Qais was first handed over to the Baklia police station in the city for primary interrogation. The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Baklia Police Station said that since the original case was filed at Patiya Police Station, he was sent to Patiya Police Station after completing the initial legal process.

The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Patiya Police Station said that Kais was a warranted accused in a murder case from 2022. He has been sent to the court for legal action.
