


Munshi Khairuzzaman Alam, convener of Lohagara Upazila Krishak Dal of Narail, has died on his way to Dhaka to witness the return of BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman.
Munshi Khairuzzaman Alam (49) is the son of the late Cherag Munshi of Bhatpara village of Lohagara Upazila. He was a document writer by profession. He was also serving as the convener of Lohagara Upazila Krishak Dal.
District BNP General Secretary Md. Monirul Islam confirmed the incident and said, 'Munshi Khairuzzaman Alam was going to Dhaka with the Narail district BNP convoy.
He suddenly fell ill in a moving bus on the Narail-Dhaka highway in the Bhanga area of Faridpur district on Wednesday night. Although immediate medical treatment was attempted, he succumbed to his injuries. The body of the deceased was brought to his home in Bhatpara, Lohagara, that night.
In this incident, Narail District BNP General Secretary Monirul Islam said in a condolence message, "Munshi Khairuzzaman Alam was a dedicated and selfless leader of the party. With his untimely death, Narail District BNP lost a skilled and loyal organizer. Despite traveling to witness the historic moment of patriot Tarique Rahman's return to his homeland, he could not be a witness."
He prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased's soul and expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family members.
Meanwhile, he was buried in the family graveyard after the funeral prayer at his home in Bhatpara on Thursday (December 25) afternoon. A shadow of mourning has fallen over the area due to this incident.
