BNP candidate for Lalmonirhat-2 (Aditmari-Kaliganj) constituency Rokon Uddin Babul said that the sacrifices that Khaleda Zia has made for the people of the country cannot be compared to any other family in Bangladesh.

Whenever a political crisis arises, this Zia family has taken over the country, saved this nation and liberated it. Therefore, the forces in favor of the liberation war must be voted to win.

He said these things at an election rally at Tushabhandar R MP High School ground in Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat on Thursday (February 5) night.

Speaking as the chief guest, Rokon Uddin Babul said, "Those who are competing with us today, those who once took refuge under our wings and did politics, are our rivals today." Now they are going around talking big words against us.’

The meeting was chaired by Fazlul Haque, joint convener of Tushbhandar Union BNP, and was addressed by Saleh Uddin Ahmed Helal, former general secretary of the district BNP, Farhan Uddin Ahmed Pasha, and leaders and activists of the affiliated organizations.
