Ahead of the upcoming national elections, the Sammilit Peshajibi Parishad has organized a massive mass mobilization and procession to seek votes for Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman in Dhaka-17 constituency. The procession started from Hatirjheel Police Plaza at 10 am on Wednesday and ended at Gulshan Roundabout after circumambulating various roads of Gulshan 1 and 2.

BNP doctors' organization Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) led by its chief advisor Dr. Farhad Halim Doner and advisor Dr. Ahmed Shafiqul Haider Parvez, along with President Professor Dr. Harun Al Rashid, Senior Vice President Professor Dr. Md. Abul Kenan, Secretary General Dr. Md. Zahirul Islam Shakil, Treasurer Dr. Md. Mehedi Hasan, Senior Joint Secretary General Professor Dr. AKM Khalequzzaman and Central Committee Executive Member Professor Dr. Md. Mojibur Rahman and a large number of leaders and activists of the organization participated in the mass communication and procession.

The procession took on a different look in the presence of a large number of DAB leaders and activists wearing white T-shirts with Tarique Rahman's picture in the middle of the party flag and '26 points' written on the chest and red-green caps on their heads. The participants in the procession raised various slogans including 'Tarique Rahman's instructions, we will build a new Bangladesh' and 'The victory of the sheaf of rice will be'.

DAB's Chief Advisor Dr. Farhad Halim Doner said that in the current situation of the country, there is no alternative to the victory of the sheaf of rice to restore democracy and voting rights. It is necessary to restore the democratic trend under the leadership of Tarique Rahman.

Calling on the voters of Dhaka-17 constituency to unite under the symbol of the sheaf of rice, DAB's central committee executive member Professor Dr. Md. Mojibur Rahman said that the Dhaka-17 constituency is very important. We believe that the educated and aware voters of this area will support Tarique Rahman's vision for the overall development of the country. He expressed his determination to strengthen Tarique Rahman's hand in fulfilling his promise of establishing good governance, independence of the judiciary and protecting the dignity of professionals.

Representatives of various professions including engineers, lawyers, teachers and journalists, along with doctors, participated in the mass communication and procession. Thousands of people standing on both sides of the road waved and greeted them.
