


Zahura Foundation has distributed coats as winter clothes among 89 helpless, destitute, elderly and widowed women and men in Jumaikhiri village of Atgharia upazila of Pabna.
A program was organized on this occasion at the foundation's own office Zahura Villa premises at around 10:30 am on Saturday (December 13).
The program was presided over by Engineer Wazed Ali, founder of Zahura Foundation and JGMCH Zahura Begum Hafezia Madrasa and Mosque Complex, and Bangladesh Medical University (PG) Neuromedicine Department Chairman Professor Dr. Bahadur Ali Mia spoke as the chief guest. Atgharia Upazila Executive Officer Farzana Akhter, Officer-in-Charge of Atgharia Police Station Md. Rafiqul Islam and life member of the organization Ataur Rahman Reza were present as special guests.
Moderated by foundation member Sirajul Islam, Zahura Foundation CEO Sayla Sultana, Zahura Begum Hafizia Madrasa and Mosque Complex Secretary Md. Abdul Mannan, Malanchi High School Headmaster Md. Shafiqur Rahman, freedom fighter Mohiuddin Nayeb, Abdul Aziz, etc. People from different classes and professions of the area were present at the event.
The organizers said that coats were distributed as winter clothes to 89 men and women from Jumaikhiri, Gobindapur, Gangarampur, Choubaria, Hidaskhol, Maheshpur, Dengargram and Pabna's Shalgariya areas.
Zahura Foundation CEO Sayla Sultana said that since its establishment in 2020, the foundation has been conducting various social activities. Notable among these are the distribution of winter clothes, financial assistance to widows, widowers and the needy, medical assistance to the helpless, wheelchairs for the disabled, financial assistance to poor students, financial assistance for the marriage of poor children, free operations for cataract patients, distribution of iftar items, disaster relief, donations to religious institutions, distribution of clothes, distribution of sacrificial meat.
