


A discussion meeting on Mamata's Rural Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (BD Rural WASH) project for human resource development was recently held at Mamata Auditorium in Halishahar, the city.
Mamata's CEO and Ekushey Padak-winning social worker Rafiq Ahamad presided over the discussion meeting, with PKSF's General Manager (Programs) and Project Coordinator Md. Abdul Matin as the chief guest.
PKSF Manager Mukul Malakar, Mamata's Deputy CEO Md. Faruk, Director Subrata Barua and others also present. Mamata's project implementation officers participated in the meeting and those who achieved outstanding performance in the project activities were honored.
To prevent water pollution, sewage system and untreated sewage as environmental hazards and causes of harm to the health system of the common people, the Mamata BD Rural WASH project is being implemented at the field level in 3 districts (Chattogram, Feni and Comilla) and 24 upazilas through 59 branches with the support of PKSF.
Rafiq Ahamad said, "The Mamata BD Rural WASH project is an important step to address environmental challenges and protect the health of the rural population. Our main focus is on building the capacity of field level workers to ensure sustainable solutions."
