Police Superintendent Md. Abdur Jalil (PPM). He completed his one and a half year working life in Faridpur. He was transferred to the PBI Police Department on government orders.

The person who left behind an unblemished image of honesty, efficiency, dedication, humanity and professionalism in his working life.

At his transfer farewell ceremony at the Faridpur Press Club on Saturday night, he was showered with respect, admiration and love from all the media workers working in the district. The club presented him with flowers, crest and a traditional Nakshi Kantha of the district. Earlier in the afternoon, the outgoing Superintendent of Police was given a guard of honor by the Chouks Police team in an emotional atmosphere at the Faridpur Police Lines. There, his colleagues remembered his humane behavior, professional skills, efforts to establish good governance and important role in controlling crime during his tenure.

The emotional and memorable words of the journalists revealed the eventful memories of this police officer's one and a half years. His generosity spoke volumes about the reliance of not only the media workers but also the police officers on duty at the last refuge of the district judges.

Superintendent of Police Abdul Jalil, the successful architect of restoring the policing system that collapsed after the mass gathering of students and the public last year (24). He was everywhere day and night, giving the police members of each police station of the nine upazilas of the district the courage to focus on the work of security of the country, society and people.

With his unwavering efforts, he gradually became a symbol of trust in the security of the life and quality of life of the district residents. With his courage, the members of the unit started providing security to the citizens throughout the night, preventing robberies on the highway. Even in the dark of night, he himself stayed on the streets to increase the morale of the police members. He searched for the common people.

Not only this, he was the name of fear for the miscreants. This skilled police officer did not hesitate to stop drug dealers in Faridpur. War against drugs was his public declaration.

While reminiscing about him, Faridpur Press Club executive committee member and Somoy Television journalist BK Sikder Sajal said that this police officer had given three appointments during his duty in Faridpur for just ten taka. Which is truly incredible. He had set a precedent in getting government jobs.

Faridpur Prothom Alo's own correspondent Panna Bala spoke in the same tone at the farewell reception. He said that during his time, the district residents got good governance from the police department. If there were workers like him in every district of the country, the country would be more prosperous, and people would have confidence in the police for their safety.

While reminiscing about him at the farewell ceremony due to transfer, Samakal's own correspondent Hasanuzzaman said that he was a name of fear to the wicked and a place of hope for the helpless. He patiently listened to the common people from morning till night every day and took immediate action.

While reminiscing about the one and a half years of the outgoing police super's active life, Faridpur Press Club President and editor of local daily Nagorik Barta Md. Kabirul Islam Siddiqui said that no one in the district will forget his words to activate the non-women police after the mass movement. He has handled several major movements without loss of life with his skills. I believe the police department will give results of his work. This leader of media workers also said that in a word, he was a police officer who was as friendly to journalists as he was to the people.

Outgoing Police Superintendent Md. Abdul Jalil PPM said, "I am proud to be able to perform my duties in Faridpur. I have worked in many districts in my career, but I have not found anyone as helpful as the media workers of Faridpur. They work with a sense of responsibility towards the society as well as their love for the country, which plays a big role in the work of a government employee. He said, "I have tried to treat every member working here as if it were my family. It is because of your cooperation, hard work and dedication that I have been able to complete the work successfully. May your career, family and future path be peaceful and successful—this is my sincere wish."
