Ahead of the 13th national election, a tone of unity was seen in a workers' rally of the party in the dispute that arose within the Faridpur district BNP.

Former minister Chowdhury Kamal Ibne Yusuf's daughter, Nayab Yusuf, the leader of the Central Women's Party, was in the running to become the BNP party candidate for the Faridpur-3 Sadar constituency, while district BNP convener Adv. Modarres Ali Icha, and Jubo Dal central leader Mahbubul Hasan Bhuiyan Pinku were present.

The dispute was visible even after the party announced its candidate for this constituency. Various party programs were also seen being held separately.

But a workers' rally called at the call of district BNP joint convener Syed Zulfikar Hossain Jewel saw the top leaders of all BNP groups on one stage. They consider this issue to be a sign of unity for the party's grassroots leaders and activists.

The party's leaders and activists present at the rally in front of his residence in Alipur on Friday night included BNP's Sadar constituency candidate Chowdhury Nayab Yusuf and Mahbubul Hasan Bhuiyan Pinku. Also present were joint conveners Abzal Hossain Khan Palash, Azam Khan, member secretary AK Kibria Swapan, metropolitan BNP convener AFM Qayyum Jangi, Jubo Dal's Jahangir Hossain, Swechchhasebak Dal's Mozammel Hossain Mithu, Chhatra Dal's president Adnan Hossain Anu, and others.

The rally was organized under the chairmanship of local prominent politician and social worker Ashiqur Rahim with the aim of making the BNP's nominated candidate win the upcoming parliamentary elections to be held in February 2026.

The speakers at the meeting said that the next national elections are very important for us. And therefore, everyone has to work keeping the elections in mind. There should be no disagreements among themselves.

The speakers said that for the last 17 years, the Awami League has not allowed the people of this country to vote. People have been deprived of their voting rights, after the mass uprising of the student population on August 5, 2024, people will now be able to vote.

The speakers said that a special group is still conspiring to thwart the elections. They are carrying out various malicious activities so that people cannot vote.

The speakers said that we have to work so that BNP can win the next national elections in the four parliamentary constituencies of Faridpur.

In the next part of the program, prayers and prayers were held for the health of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. At that time, leaders of the affiliated organizations of Faridpur District BNP, local residents and dignitaries were present.

In this context, District BNP Joint Convener Abzal Hossain Khan Palash said, this rally of BNP workers proved that everyone is united to make the party symbol win in the next election. He said, the person to whom the party has nominated for the Sadar seat (Nayab Yusuf) is also visiting the homes of other nomination aspirants and has called on everyone to work together.

District Jubo Dal General Secretary Jahangir Hossain said the same thing. He said, if there is unity among the seniors of the party, there is enthusiasm among the workers. We hope that whatever division there was will no longer remain.
