The biennial election (2025-27) of the executive council of Narsingdi Press Club has been completed amidst great enthusiasm. Makhon Das, district representative of Ekushey Television, was elected as the president and Asadul Haque Palash, district representative of UNB and Dainik Sangram, was elected as the general secretary in the election held at the Narsingdi Press Club auditorium on Saturday (November 29).
Those elected to other positions are- Vice President Bangladesh Betar District Representative and Editor of Daily Grameen Darpan Kazi Anwar Kamal and District Representative of Evening News and Bangladesh Alo Haladhar Das, Deputy General Secretary Weekly Sonali Bangladesh Editor and District Representative of Daily Prabhat Md. Sohel S. Hossain, Treasurer Daily Narsingdi Bani Editor Md. Faruk Mia, Literature, Culture and Sports Editor Daily Shomor Alo District Representative Abul Bashar Bashir, Office Secretary DBC News District Representative Tofail Ahmed Swapan and Executive Members are Daily Jaya Zaydin District Representative Amjad Hossain, Daily Narsingdi Saradin Editor ATM Mostafa (Babar) and Daily Amar Barta District Representative Md. Zakir Hossain Bhuiyan.
Out of a total of 61 votes, 56 votes were cast in the election.
Adv. Kazi Nazrul Islam, assisted by Election Commissioner M.A. Momen Mia and Adv. Khandaker Mehedi Hasan.
