


Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Bangladesh, Dr. Abdullah Jafar H. Bin Abiyyah, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Sunday morning at the Cabinet Division of the Secretariat.
During the 11:30 AM meeting, the Ambassador formally congratulated the Prime Minister on forming the new government. He also conveyed a special congratulatory message from the Saudi Crown Prince, reaffirming the deep-rooted ties between the two nations.
The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in key areas, including socio-economic development and mutual diplomatic interests. Both leaders emphasized the importance of the friendly relationship that has long existed between Dhaka and Riyadh.
Earlier that morning, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman arrived at the Secretariat at 9:05 AM to begin his official duties, where he was welcomed by Principal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar. Following the meeting with the Saudi envoy, the Prime Minister chaired a session regarding the development of the third terminal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and held follow-up meetings with several cabinet ministers.
