Dhaka University VC Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan Resigns

Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan, the Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University (DU), has officially resigned from his post.

The Vice-Chancellor submitted his resignation letter to Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon on Sunday morning (February 22). The matter was confirmed by the Vice-Chancellor’s protocol officer, Mohammad Firoz.

"The Vice-Chancellor handed over his resignation to the Minister this morning," Firoz stated. "While the Ministry has not yet issued a formal announcement, the remaining formalities will proceed once the resignation is officially accepted."

Ministry of Education sources indicate that Professor Khan cited both personal and administrative reasons for his departure. Ministry officials confirmed that the transition and the appointment of a successor will follow established University protocols.
