State Minister for Education, Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj has announced new security initiatives to combat theft and robbery in the city’s Mohammadpur area, including the installation of CCTV networks and the establishment of a dedicated police camp.
The Minister shared these plans on Sunday morning (February 22) while visiting victims of election-day violence at Japan Bangladesh Friendship Hospital. The victims were reportedly injured in clashes with opposition activists during the general election held on February 12.
"I am not deterred by propaganda," Hajjaj told reporters. "Our path to the February 12 victory was challenging. The opposition attempted to seize control of polling centers, and we will not let these attacks go unpunished. Legal action will be taken to ensure justice for every injured worker."
Bobby Hajjaj, who represents the Dhaka-13 constituency (Mohammadpur), emphasized that ensuring the safety of residents is a top priority for the new administration.
