Prime Minister Prioritises Quality Education in Maiden Ministry Visit

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman declared quality education a top national priority during his first visit to the Ministry of Education at the Bangladesh Secretariat today.

"Integrated initiatives, effective supervision and timely plans will continue to bring qualitative changes across all levels of our education system" the premier stated.

According to PM’s Assistant Press Secretary Md. Nazmul Haque Khan, the Prime Minister reviewed the ministry's operations, ongoing development projects and progress on the National Education Policy. During a comprehensive meeting with senior officials, department heads and field-level educators, he issued directives to modernize the sector.

Key priorities discussed included boosting student attendance with enhancing teaching methods and expanding technology-driven learning also modernising teacher training and enforcing administrative accountability.

The Prime Minister also engaged directly with grassroots education officials to understand ground-level challenges. He stressed that field experiences and practical recommendations must directly inform future policy formulation and implementation.

Concluding his visit, the premier urged ministry staff to operate with unwavering dedication, professionalism and a strong commitment to public service to drive the holistic development of Bangladesh's education system.
