Pabna Sadar police have arrested a 23-year-old man after allegedly recovering a revolver and eight rounds of ammunition from his home in the Radhanagar area of Pabna city.
The arrested man has been identified as Khondkar Shahriar Kabir Rimon, 23, son of the late Khondkar Harunur Rashid of Radhanagar Majumdarpara in Pabna city.
According to a police press release issued Thursday afternoon, a team led by Sub-Inspectors Mahbubul Alam and Zakir Ul Islam conducted a raid at Rimon's residence on Wednesday (September 23) night based on confidential information.
Police said they recovered one revolver and eight rounds of ammunition from the house during the operation.
Tarikul Islam, officer-in-charge of Pabna Sadar Police Station, said a case was filed at the police station on Thursday (September 24) in connection with the recovery.
Rimon was sent to jail through the court after initial questioning, the OC said.
