Jude Bellingham has been named England men’s player of the year for a second consecutive season as the Football Association announced on Friday.
The 23-year-old Real Madrid midfielder earned the award voted by supporters via the official England app after scoring a record seven goals at the 2026 World Cup. His tally set a new record for an England men’s player at a single major tournament also helping the Three Lions secure a third-place finish as their best result since 1966.
"It feels great" Bellingham said. "It's a huge honour to be recognised by the fans again. It’s a beautiful addition to a great summer and the privilege of playing for my country."
Bellingham’s tournament highlights included braces against Mexico in the round-of-16 at Azteca Stadium and Norway in the quarter-finals in Miami. He also became the youngest European player to feature at four major tournaments.
England manager Thomas Tuchel praised the midfielder's performance and mindset, describing him as a "competitor and machine" who thrives under pressure on the biggest stages.
Meanwhile the captain Harry Kane finished as England’s top scorer for a seventh straight season, matching his personal best with 12 goals across all international competitions. Kane described the achievement as a "showcase of consistency" and thanked his teammates and coaching staff.
