


The monthly meeting of the Monohardi Upazila Law and Order Committee was held on Tuesday afternoon at the Upazila Parishad hallroom in Narsingdi.
The meeting included detailed discussions on the overall law and order situation of the upazila drug control, crime prevention and various important issues related to public safety.
The meeting was chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer M. A. Muhaimin Al Jihan.
Also present were Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Sajib Mia, Member Secretary of Monohardi Upazila BNP Aminur Rahman Sarkar Dolon, Officer-in-Charge of Monohardi Police Station Jahangir Badsha, Senior Teacher of Monohardi Government Pilot High School Badrul Islam Molla (Babul), BNP member Golam Mostafa, President of Monohardi Press Club Md. Harun Or Rashid, along with officials from various departments, public representatives and dignitaries.
Speakers at the meeting said there is no alternative to a collective initiative to protect society and the younger generation from the devastating effects of drugs. To achieve this also they emphasized increasing anti-drug public awareness with strengthening the activities of law enforcement agencies and building social resistance.
They further stated that the law and order situation in the upazila has improved due to the sincere efforts of the administration. To continue this progress, they called on public representatives, political leaders, teachers, guardians and people from all walks of life to work together in unity.
At the end of the meeting, speakers said “Let there be a united stance by all against drugs. Let us build a safe, peaceful and beautiful Monohardi.”
