


The Upazila Law and Order Committee held its monthly meeting in the Madhukhali Upazila Hallroom, Faridpur, on Monday morning. Presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rawshana Jahan, the session focused on the area's overall law and order situation and strategies to ensure public safety.
Speakers emphasized that maintaining peace requires active collaboration among the local administration, journalists, elected representatives, political leaders, and the general public. During the meeting, strict directives were issued to the relevant departments to combat drug abuse and child marriage, regularly monitor local markets, prevent public harassment (eve-teasing), and strictly enforce the ban on catching Jatka (juvenile hilsa) fish.
Furthermore, officials and employees across all Upazila departments were instructed to strictly observe scheduled office hours, aligning with the administrative directives of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
Key attendees included Assistant Commissioner (Land) Pratik Dutta, Officer-in-Charge Shukdev Roy, Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Al-Amin Sarwar, Agriculture Officer Mahbub Elahi, Livestock Officers Dr. Tanjim Naim and Pabitra Kumar, Social Service Officer Kallol Saha, Anti-Corruption Committee President Munshi Akhtaruzzaman, Madhukhali Press Club General Secretary Mehedi Hossain Palash, alongside various Union Parishad chairmen.
