Kushakhali Union unit in Chandraganj Jubo Dal Committee Dissolved

The central committee of Jubo Dal has dissolved its Kushakhali Union unit in Chandraganj, Lakshmipur, following the mass resignation of 16 newly appointed leaders.

The dissolution was confirmed on Tuesday afternoon through a press release signed by Minhajul Bhuiyan, the central Joint General Secretary. While the official statement did not specify a reason for the move, it follows widespread criticism across conventional and social media regarding the sudden resignations.

District Jubo Dal Office Secretary Shamsul Ahsan Mamun confirmed the decision, stating it was executed under the directives of Central President Abdul Monayem Munna and General Secretary Nurul Islam Nayan.

Addressing the controversy, District Jubo Dal President Abdul Alim Humayun said, "We heard about the resignations after the committee was announced, though no formal letters reached our office. The central leadership took action after the news circulated in the media."

According to party insiders, the 31-member committee was announced on Facebook late Sunday following a local conference. By Monday, 16 members including six joint conveners stepped down in protest. The dissenting faction alleged that top leadership posts, specifically the roles given to Convener Abdur Rashid and Member Secretary Masudur Rahman Masud, were sold to expatriates, thereby bypassing dedicated local activists.
