The 48th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal was observed in Monohardi, Narsingdi on Wednesday with a tree plantation drive, discussion meeting and rally.
Organized by the Monohardi Upazila and Municipal units of Jubo Dal, the events began at 4:00 PM on the Monohardi Upazila office premises, drawing active participation from local party activists.
The program started with a tree plantation initiative aimed at promoting environmental protection and expanding local greenery. It was followed by a discussion meeting presided over by Monohardi Upazila Jubo Dal President Md. Tajul Islam and moderated by General Secretary Mohammad Masudur Rahman Sohag. Monohardi Upazila BNP Member Secretary Aminur Rahman Sarkar Dolon attended as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering the chief guest Aminur Rahman Sarkar Dolon issued a strong warning against criminal activities, declaring that terrorism, extortion and drug abuse would not be tolerated in Monohardi. He called on party activists and citizens to build social resistance against narcotics and help law enforcement eradicate crime.
Other key attendees included Monohardi Municipal Jubo Dal President Abdus Samad Akanda Bakul, General Secretary Md. Mamun Mia and Upazila Chhatra Dal Vice President Rakib Hasan.
The event concluded with a colorful rally as participants chanted slogans and marched through the town's major thoroughfares.
