The government will begin distributing family cards to 41 million households across the country this February, announced Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Shopan.
Speaking at a discussion meeting observing Shahid Dibash and International Mother Language Day in Barisal on Saturday (February 21), the Minister emphasized that development requires more than just historical movements; it requires structured planning.
"A well-organized plan is essential to ensure national prosperity," Minister Shopan stated. "We presented our 31-point state reform plan before taking office to remain transparent and closely connected with the people."
Addressing administrative integrity, the Minister called for a clear distinction between public service and political affiliation. He noted that while those who intentionally committed wrongs in the past must be identified, those who acted under pressure deserve fair treatment.
"If the relationship between the public and the administration is blurred, misunderstandings arise. We must ensure the administration is no longer used as a partisan force to successfully implement our national goals," he added.
