Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon stated on Sunday that teachers will no longer need to take to the streets to realize their demands, as the Prime Minister is prioritizing the education sector above all else.
The Minister made these remarks during a briefing at the Ministry of Education following a meeting with the Teachers-Employees Unity Alliance.
"We will address your demands," the Minister told the alliance, "but you must also commit to improving the quality of education. We cannot focus solely on problems."
Addressing the long-standing demand for a 100% Eid bonus, Milon noted that while the current budget does not account for the increase, he intends to review the matter and discuss it directly with the Prime Minister.
On the topic of governance and integrity, the Minister responded firmly to allegations of widespread corruption. "As Minister, I have sworn an oath of honesty. I will not engage in corruption, and I will not allow others to do so," he asserted.
