Whenever the Awami League destroys the country, the responsibility of rebuilding the nation from those ruins falls upon the BNP, remarked BNP Secretary General and Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
He made these remarks on Saturday (August 8) while attending the 37th founding anniversary event of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) at the LD Hall premises of the National Parliament.
Mirza Fakhrul stated that following 1975, President Ziaur Rahman similarly rebuilt the country from ruins. Later, Deshnetri Khaleda Zia fulfilled that duty. Today, that responsibility has once again fallen upon the shoulders of Tarique Rahman.
He further added that BNP leader Tarique Rahman has initiated efforts to rebuild the nation anew. However, at such a crucial juncture, a vested group is once again trying to destabilize the country, which is extremely regrettable.
The Local Government Minister emphasized that the government seeks to resolve all issues through Parliament under a parliamentary system. However, a group has taken to the streets to engage in unjust activities, attempting to push the nation back into an unstable situation.
