Youth Stabbed to Death Over Money Dispute in Goalanda, Rajbari

A youth was stabbed to death in Goalanda, Rajbari, following a dispute over unpaid money. The victim, Shariful Islam Hira (40) son of Jabed Ali of Bahadurpur was killed around 9:15 am on Saturday in the Torai More area.

According to police and local sources, Shariful had an argument with Kamrul Hossain of Mallikpara village over a debt of Tk 5,000-6,000. During the dispute, Kamrul allegedly stabbed him, causing serious injuries. Locals rescued Shariful and rushed him to Goalanda Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Kamrul fled the scene, and police teams are conducting operations to arrest him.

Goalanda Ghat Police Station OC Md. Shafiqul Islam confirmed the incident, saying preliminary findings suggest the murder stemmed from a monetary dispute. An investigation is underway and legal action is being taken. The body has been sent for autopsy.
