Manipur, India: A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck the Indian state of Manipur. The quake was recorded at 5:00 am on Thursday (November 27th), according to the National Center for Seismology. No casualties or injuries were reported.
Bay of Bengal: A magnitude 4.0 earthquake was recorded in the Bay of Bengal. It occurred at 2:00 pm with a depth of 10 kilometers.
Bhutan: A small-scale earthquake of magnitude 3.0 struck Bhutan. This event took place at 11:00 am on Wednesday (November 26th).
North Sulawesi, Indonesia: A moderate earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 occurred in Indonesia's North Sulawesi region. The quake was felt on Wednesday (November 26th). The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) reported the epicenter was 29 km south of Tandono, at a depth of 120.9 kilometers. No damage was reported in this area.
Halmahera, Indonesia: Earlier, on Sunday (November 23rd), a 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck the Halmahera region in Indonesia's northern Maluku province.
The frequency of seismic activity in Indonesia is attributed to its location within the Pacific Ocean’s ‘Ring of Fire’.
