


The Partner Congress 2026 took place in Shantiganj Upazila on Monday afternoon, focusing on agricultural advancement and rural entrepreneurship.
Organized by the Shantiganj Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), the event was held at the Jhilmil Auditorium. The congress is a key component of the Program on Agricultural and Rural Transformation for Nutrition, Entrepreneurship, and Resilience in Bangladesh (PARTNER).
Mohammad Omar Faruk, Deputy Director of the Sunamganj DAE, delivered the keynote address. The session was chaired by Md. Islam Uddin, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (Acting), and moderated by Agricultural Extension Officer Mohammad Mofazzal Hossain. Upazila Agricultural Officer Mohammad Ahsan Habib delivered the welcome speech.
Several local government officials and community leaders attended the event to discuss rural development strategies. Special guests included Upazila Cooperative Officer Ruhul Hasan, Project Implementation Officer Mohammad Jahangir Alam, and Fisheries Officer Kamrul Hasan.
Also in attendance were Sunamganj District Jubo Dal Acting President Aminur Rashid Amin, Shantiganj Representative General Secretary Sohel Talukder, Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer Titu Talukder, and Agriculturist Sueib Ahmed Jagirder.
