


A five-day "Land Management Course" aimed at enhancing the efficiency and quality of land administration services has been inaugurated in Gopalganj. On the same day, financial assistance cheques from the local Zakat Fund were distributed among beneficiaries at a separate event organized by the Islamic Foundation.
On 14 June 2026, the District Administration of Gopalganj organized the inauguration ceremony of the "Land Management Course" at the conference hall of the Circuit House. The training program, scheduled to run from 14 to 18 June, is being attended by Union Land Sub-Assistant/Assistant Officers, Surveyors, Revenue Assistants, Peshkars, Certificate Assistants, and other officials of equivalent ranks.
The course was formally inaugurated by Mr. Md. Arif-Uz-Zaman, Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Gopalganj.
During the inaugural session, emphasis was placed on modernizing land administration, improving service quality, ensuring transparency and accountability in land-related activities, and enhancing the professional skills of field-level officials. The training program is expected to provide participants with updated knowledge and practical expertise regarding land management laws, regulations, administrative procedures, and public service delivery.
Later, at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner's Office, a program organized by the Islamic Foundation, Gopalganj was held, where cheques from the local Zakat Fund were distributed among eligible beneficiaries.
The event highlighted the importance of utilizing Zakat funds effectively for the welfare and socio-economic development of underprivileged and disadvantaged people. Government officials, trainees, representatives of the Islamic Foundation, and other distinguished guests were present on the occasion.
