


Police have arrested Md. Khairuzzaman Babu Molya (48), the Sonapur Union Parishad (UP) Chairman and Saltha Upazila Jubo League President. He was apprehended during a raid in Natkhola village on Monday (June 15).
Molya, a resident of Chandakhola village and son of former UP Chairman the late Abdul Quddus Molya, had been in hiding since the fall of the Awami League government. Recently, he began making secret visits to the area.
Saltha Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Bablur Rahman Khan confirmed the arrest, stating that Molya faces multiple charges under the Sabotage and Explosives Act. Acting on a tip-off, police arrested him on Monday afternoon.
He will be presented before the Faridpur court following standard legal procedures.
