270 Ethnic Minority Families in Porsha Receive Goats and Housing Materials

The Porsha Upazila Livestock Office and Veterinary Hospital distributed goats and construction materials to 270 families from small ethnic groups on Thursday.

This initiative, part of the Integrated Livestock Development Project, aims to improve the socio-economic conditions of plain-land ethnic communities.

Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Rakibul Islam attended the event as the chief guest, overseeing the distribution of 540 goats (two per family), along with corrugated iron sheets, pillars, and mats for animal sheltering.

The ceremony was presided over by Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Jahangir Alam, with Agriculture Officer Mamunur Rashid and Veterinary Surgeon Dr. Aziz Ali also in attendance.
