Residents of Himaitpur in Pabna submitted a written memorandum to the Prime Minister on Wednesday morning (July 22) demanding measures to secure and ensure the smooth operation of 0.15 acres of land at the birthplace of Sri Sri Thakur Anukul Chandra.

Locals gathered for a rally in front of the Pabna Deputy Commissioner's office before submitting the application. On behalf of the Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Moniruzzaman accepted the memorandum.

Community leaders along with Afzal Hossain, Mannan Malitha and Abul Kalam addressed the rally. They stated that the Sri Sri Thakur Anukul Chandra Satsang Ashram has long conducted peaceful religious and community service programs that benefit people across all faiths.

Speakers alleged that outsiders affiliated with a foreign organization are attempting to disrupt regular religious activities and illegally occupy the land. They urged the Prime Minister to intervene halt illegal encroachments and officially hand over the 0.15-acre plot originally allocated during the tenure of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia to ensure smooth operations for the ashram.

ADC Moniruzzaman confirmed receipt of the application and assured that it would be forwarded to the Prime Minister’s Office for necessary action.
