


United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB), through its Chakaria branch have distributed essential relief materials to over 800 flood-affected families across Chakaria and Pekua upazilas in Cox's Bazar.
The distribution event took place on Wednesday morning (July 22) at the UCB Chakaria branch premises. Funding for the relief initiative was provided through the bank's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund to assist families severely impacted by recent flooding in the region.
The event was presided over by UCB Chakaria Branch Manager Saiful Islam Rajan with UCB Chittagong South Regional Manager Mehedi Hasan Chowdhury attending as a key guest.
Several prominent local officials the community leaders and media representatives participated in the ceremony, including Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Joynal Abedin, former acting principal of Chakaria College AKM Shahabuddin, central Vice-President of Bangladesh Mofusal Journalists Forum M. Zahed Chowdhury former Chakaria Municipality Panel Mayor Shahidul Islam Forkan and Chakaria Press Club President Abdul Majid. Bank officials reaffirmed their commitment to supporting vulnerable communities during natural disasters.
