Police arrested two youths and recovered 98 Yaba tablets during a special drive in Baghaichhari Upazila of Rangamati on Tuesday.
Under the direction of Baghaichhari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nasir Uddin Majumder, a police team conducted the raid in the Pakuzyachhari area along the Tin Kilo road. During the operation, officers detained two suspects along the roadside slope.
The arrested individuals were identified as Jasim Chakma (22) and Subhas Chakma (21). A body search led to the recovery and seizure of 98 Yaba tablets from their possession.
Baghaichhari Police Station confirmed that legal proceedings under the Narcotics Control Act are currently underway against both detainees.
