Fruit Fair Held in Monohardi to Boost Year-Round Production

With the slogan "We will cultivate fruits and we will preserve them for twelve months" the Fruit Fair 2026 held in Monohardi, Narsingdi.

On Tuesday the fair organized by the Upazila Department of Agricultural Extension at the Upazila Parishad hallroom.

The Chief Guest was M. A. Muhaimin Al Jihan, Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Monohardi. Special guests are Upazila Agriculture Officer Runa Akter and Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer Rafi Afroz Soni.

Various local and improved varieties of fruits including mango, jackfruit, rambutan, guava, banana, dragon fruit, Malta, orange, papaya and pineapple were displayed at the fair. Farmers and fruit growers from different areas of the upazila participated with their own produced fruits.

Officials from various departments, farmers, fruit growers and media personnel were present at the event.

Through the fair, initiatives were taken to encourage farmers in fruit cultivation to increase the production of local fruits and raise public awareness about fruit preservation.
