Four Robbers Arrested with Weapons in Laxmipur Drive

The arrested individuals were identified as Md. Mosharraf Hossain (35) and Mamud (40) from Raipur Upazila, Laxmipur along with Sadek Hossain Mal (38) and Manik Bepari (32) from Haimchar Upazila, Chandpur.

The District Detective Branch (DB) of Laxmipur has arrested four suspected robbers while they were preparing to commit a robbery in the Battala area of Chandraganj Upazila.

The arrests were made late Tuesday night based on a secret tip-off. According to a press release issued Wednesday afternoon by Additional Superintendent of Police Hossain Mohammad Raihan Kazemi, the suspects were caught with domestic weapons, including knives, a ramda, a chapati and a kirich along with burglary tools and a CNG-powered autorickshaw.

Two or three accomplices managed to flee the scene during the operation. Police confirmed that legal proceedings are underway at Chandraganj Police Station and drives are ongoing to detain the remaining suspects.
