


The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Bangladesh Open University (BOU) hosted a workshop on Tuesday morning at the university guest house to finalize the curriculum for its 'Post Graduate Diploma in Information Science and Library Management' program.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad was present as the chief guest at the workshop, while BOU Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. Anisur Rahman was present on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor.
He emphasized that an up-to-date, international-standard curriculum will enhance students' professional skills, research capabilities and career competitiveness.
The workshop was chaired by Professor Dr. Sadia Afroz Sultana, with welcome remarks delivered by Professor Dr. Rafsan Mahmud and special address by IQAC Director Professor Dr. Mohammad Zahir Raihan.
Expert resource persons from Dhaka University's Department of Information Science and Library Management including Professor Dr. Md. Saiful Alam, Professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Islam and Professor Dr. Kazi Mostaq Ghausul Haque provided detailed recommendations to ensure the curriculum meets contemporary standards. A total of 20 participants, including BOU school deans, faculty members and department representatives were attended the event.
