Two Arrested for Proxy HSC Exam in Porsha, Naogaon

Two individuals, including a proxy examinee, were arrested on Saturday for cheating during the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Bengali examination at the Porsha Government College center in Naogaon.

The arrested individuals are the original candidate, Zahid Hasan (21), a current student of Ganguria Degree College, and his proxy, Biplob Barman (20), a former student of the same institution.

According to Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Mosa. Nabila Ferdous, Zahid hired Biplob to sit for the Bengali exam in his place. When authorities discovered the deception, both youths were immediately detained.

A mobile court sentenced the duo to short-term imprisonment and imposed fines. They were sent to jail on Saturday afternoon.
