


Police have arrested three hijackers while they were taking a hijacked autorickshaw in Porsche in Naogaon. They were arrested along with their autorickshaw from Kathpukur Shwashanghat road on Saraigachi-Adda road at 2:45 am on Friday night. The arrested are Ripon Hossain (25), son of Ramzan Ali of Gunrajpur village in Patnitala upazila, Jahangir Hossain (40), son of Washim Uddin, and Liton Hossain (30), son of the deceased Moksed Ali.
It is learnt that a group of five hijackers reserved the autorickshaw of Shafiqul, son of the deceased Mozammel Haque of Chakpathuria Purbapara village in Naogaon Sadar, from Baludanga bus stand on Friday and brought it to Belgharia area of Patnitala upazila. Two of the five people in the auto got out. Later, the other three auto drivers beat Shafiqul and snatched the autorickshaw from him. When they reached the Kathpukur Shashan area of Porsha upazila, ASI Khushiram Das, who was patrolling the road with his accompanying force, arrested them and brought them to the police station. During interrogation at the police station, they confessed to stealing the autorickshaw. When the matter was reported to Patnitala police station, they confirmed the truth of the incident. As a result, the three hijackers arrested along with the stolen autorickshaw were handed over to Patnitala police station on Saturday night.
Porsha police station officer-in-charge Ziaur Rahman confirmed the truth of the incident and said that a case has been filed against the hijackers at Patnitala police station.
