Chhatra Dal holds doa and milad mahfil in Banshkhali for the forgiveness of Khaleda Zia's soul

Chhatra Dal held a doa and milad mahfil in Banshkhali, Chattogram to pray for the forgiveness of the departed soul of former Bangladesh Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. The doa and milad mahfil was organized at the hall of Banshkhali Girls College on Saturday (January 3) afternoon at the initiative of Banshkhali Upazila Chhatra Dal.

The doa mahfil was conducted by Chattogram South District Chhatra Dal Joint Convener Farhadul Islam and chaired by Joint Convener Abdus Sabur. BNP's nominated candidate for Chittagong-16 (Baanshkhali) constituency Mishkatul Islam Chowdhury Pappa was the chief guest.

Also present at the prayer and milad mahfil at this time were Banshkhali Upazila Jubo Dal convener Abu Ahmed, Chittagong University Chhatra Dal joint general secretary Farhad Hossain Asif, district Chhatra Dal convening committee member Mohammad Maruf, Upazila Chhatra Dal leaders Belal Mahmud, Mohammad Tareq, Atiqur Rahman, Riaz Uddin Tareq, West Banshkhali Coastal Degree College Chhatra Dal former convener Abdul Quddus Khan Bulbul, Banshkhali Degree College Chhatra Dal president Zahed Hasan Tareq, Government Alaol College Chhatra Dal general secretary Minhaj, West Banshkhali Coastal Degree College Chhatra Dal general secretary Naeem Uddin, and others. After the recitation of the Quran in the prayer mahfil, prayers were offered for the forgiveness of Khaleda Zia's departed soul and the welfare of the country and the nation. The prayer was led by Hafez Maulana Mohammad Ibrahim, director of Banshkhali Darul Uloom Al Islamia Madrasa. Upazila and Municipality Chhatra Dal leaders and activists from various branches of the upazila, including Chhatra Dal, participated in it.

In his speech as president, Abdus Sabur said, 'National leader Khaleda Zia was uncompromising in her struggle. She thought far-reachingly about the people of the country and always put them first. Chhatra Dal will continue its fight to protect the independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh by embracing the ideals of Begum Khaleda Zia.'

In his speech as chief guest, Mishkatul Islam Chowdhury Pappa said, 'The sacred trust left by national leader Begum Khaleda Zia, the sacred trust left by martyred President Ziaur Rahman, must be protected and the leaders of Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal must take that responsibility.'
