


Sunamganj “District Primary Merit Verification Test-2025” Tegharia Model Government Primary School of Joykals Union of the upazila has been recognized as the best school in Shantiganj for the second consecutive time.
It is known that, at the initiative of Shantiganj Upazila Executive Officer Sukanta Saha, the Primary Merit Verification Test-2025 was held for the first time with the participation of students of 4th and 5th grades to improve the quality of primary education. 5,500 students from 97 schools in Shantiganj Upazila participated in the test. Tegharia Model Government Primary School of Joykals Union of the upazila was selected as the best school in the upazila. This test is an initiative that is welcomed by the entire country, including the entire Sunamganj district, and the analysis and discussion began. In continuation of this, Sunamganj Deputy Commissioner Dr. Mohammad Ilias Mia took the initiative to conduct the District Primary Merit Verification Test with the aim of improving the quality of primary education in Sunamganj district. The District Primary Merit Verification Test-2025 was held with great enthusiasm. About 76 thousand students of the district participated in this test. In this test too, Tegharia Model Government Primary School was recognized as the best school at the upazila level with success.
It is also known that Sudha Ranjan Majumder, head teacher of Tegharia Model Government Primary School, was selected as the best teacher based on the subject (Primary Science and Bangladesh World Identity 5th grade), Ila Rani Roy, assistant teacher of Tegharia Model Government Primary School, was selected as the best teacher of the upazila in the subject of primary mathematics, Khaleda Akhter, assistant teacher of Tegharia Model Government Primary School, was selected as the best teacher in the subject of Bengali, Meher Nizar Jasmine, assistant teacher of Tegharia Model Government Primary School, was selected as the best teacher in the subject of English. The students who received the scholarship from the school are Rupanti Talukder, Drishti Das Oishi in the 5th grade, and the students who received the scholarship in the 4th grade are Tanjimul Sardar, Jinat Sharmila and Fariha Jannat Sneha Talukder.
In this regard, Sudha Ranjan Majumder, Head Teacher of Tegharia Model Government Primary School, said, "Teachers, students and guardians have worked tirelessly to do well in the two exams. These exams were held with great enthusiasm from everyone. We hope that such competitive exams will be held every year.
