Zahidul Islam Miah held a public hearing on his second day as the Chattogram Deputy Commissioner. The hearing took place in the Deputy Commissioner's office hall on Thursday morning, November 20.

Some attendees sought help for drinking water or support for their children's education. The Deputy Commissioner listened to each complaint individually. He provided solutions for some issues and ordered immediate action on others. As a result, the public left the hearing feeling relieved after their problems were addressed.

One attendee, Emran Hossain from Rangunia, reported that someone had created a fake inheritance certificate and registered it. In response to this complaint, the DC instructed the relevant AC Land directly.

Emran expressed, "The issues we faced are now resolved. The person is truly different. Zafar Ahmed from Banshkhali, who also attended the hearing, mentioned, "Our area suffers from a lack of drinking water due to salinity. We came to request a deep tube well." The DC instructed the Public Health Engineering Officer to take appropriate action. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Islam Miah stated, "People approach us with hope. It is our duty to listen and resolve their issues. My office is open to everyone, regardless of their background. Regular public hearings build trust and bring the administration closer to the community.
