Bangladesh captain Litton Das took responsibility for the team's 14-run defeat to the West Indies in the second T20I in Chattogram, a loss that sealed the series for the visitors with a match to spare.
Despite the bowlers led by Mustafizur Rahman (3/21) and Rishad Hossain (2/20) restricting the West Indies to a modest total of 149 for 9 after an early century stand, the hosts failed to execute the chase. Litton expressed regret, stating, "If I was there, the match would have finished earlier," highlighting the team's inability to maintain momentum.
Tanzid Hasan Tamim anchored the innings with a fluent 61 off 48 balls, but surrounding batsmen, including Litton (23), got starts but couldn't convert them, leading to a frustrating collapse.
Needing 42 runs from the final four overs, hesitation and singles replaced boundaries, and the team ultimately fell short, finishing on 135 for 8.
The captain apologized to his bowlers, acknowledging the 150-run target should have been comfortable.
