Today is the 30th of Ramadan. As the month of Ramadan ends, Eid-ul-Fitr returns as a celebration of Joy, Unity and reflection.

This year, the occasion is a reminder for Muslims to change themselves and positively influence others. Eid is not only a festival of happiness but also a call for compassion, empathy, and social responsibility.

Muslims worldwide face oppression and injustice, including in Iran, Palestine, Yemen, Lebanon, and the Middle East. Eid encourages believers to remember the suffering of others and extend help to the needy, hungry, sick, and vulnerable. True celebration lies in alleviating others’ hardships, not indulging in excessive or vulgar pleasures.

The holy month of Ramadan teaches self-restraint, moral reflection, and devotion. Believers are urged to know themselves and recognize their purpose: to worship Allah and serve His creation. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized that the best among people are those who benefit others. Self-awareness, self-improvement, and ethical conduct are essential to fulfilling this purpose.

Eid also reminds Muslims to reform their families, neighbors, and society by promoting good and preventing wrong. Islamic teachings stress that personal change and social responsibility go hand in hand. Allah commands believers to guide their communities toward righteousness and avoid evil.

The day of Eid marks freedom from Ramadan’s disciplined fasting, yet believers must remain vigilant against indulgence and immoral acts. Maintaining the virtues gained during Ramadan—mercy, forgiveness, and devotion—ensures a meaningful and pure celebration of Eid.

The message is clear: change yourself, help others, uphold ethical values, and celebrate Eid with compassion, awareness, and joy.
