


For the first time in Noakhali, a district committee of the BNP-affiliated Nationalist Tax Lawyers’ Forum has been announced. The committee was approved unanimously during a meeting with central leaders held on Monday night at Nawab Convention Hall in the district town.
Advocate SM Nizam has been appointed as President, while Md. Delwar Hossain Jasim has been named General Secretary of the newly formed 21-member executive committee.
Other office bearers include Senior Vice-President Md. Sohag, Vice-Presidents Md. Abdullah Al Mamun, Abul Kalam Azad, and Md. Mohsin Manik; Joint General Secretaries Kefayet Ullah Mridha, Mohammad Sohag Hossain, Taj Hossain Sohel, and Mahabuber Rahman Sohel; Organizing Secretary Zobayer Hossain Faisal; Joint Organizing Secretary Abdur Rashid; Treasurer Hasan Zaman; Publicity Secretary Azim Chowdhury; Office Secretary Md. Sojal Jahan; Legal Affairs Secretary Md. Golam Kibria Tipu; International Affairs Secretary Ali Ahad Tanib; Human Rights Secretary Nazma Akter; Social Welfare Secretary Nazrul Islam; Planning and Training Secretary Delwar Hossain; and Religious Affairs Secretary Mahiuddin Ahmed Khan.
The committee was approved by the central convening committee of the Nationalist Tax Lawyers’ Forum, with Joint Member Secretary Md. Abdul Matin signing the official announcement. The committee will serve a one-year term.
Speaking as the chief guest, Abdul Matin urged the newly appointed leaders to carry out their responsibilities with dedication. He called on them to stand firm against ongoing conspiracies and to work toward strengthening Tarique Rahman’s leadership in shaping the future of the nation.
Special guests at the event included Noakhali District BNP Convener Mahbub Alamgir Alo, Joint Convener Advocate ABM Zakaria, former District BNP General Secretary Advocate Abdur Rahman, BNP legal affairs member and Advocate Rabiul Hasan Palash, General Secretary of the District Lawyers’ Association Amir Hossain Bulbul, and District Judge Court PP Shahadat Hossain.
Leaders from both the central and district levels addressed the gathering, which was attended by members of the Tax Lawyers’ Forum and journalists from both print and electronic media.
