


Gold prices in Bangladesh have declined after four consecutive hikes. The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced the new rates in a notice on Monday (April 6). The revised prices took effect from 10:00 am that day and remain unchanged for today, Tuesday.
According to BAJUS, the price of 22-carat gold—the highest quality—has been reduced by Tk 2,158 per bhori (11.664 grams). The new price now stands at Tk 2,45,819 per bhori.
Prices of other gold categories have also dropped:
So far in 2026, gold prices have been adjusted 52 times in the domestic market—30 increases and 22 decreases. In 2025, prices were revised 93 times, including 64 increases and 29 decreases.
Silver prices have also declined. The price of 22-carat silver has dropped by Tk 175 per bhori to Tk 5,540.

In 2026, silver prices have been adjusted 31 times so far—17 increases and 14 decreases. In 2025, prices were revised 13 times, with 10 increases and 3 decreases.
