


The Bangladesh Jewellers Association has reduced gold prices in the local market. The price of 22-carat gold has been cut by Tk 3,266 per bhori, bringing the new price to Tk 2,46,927.
BAJUS announced the change in a notice on Thursday (April 23). The new rates take effect from 10:00 am.
According to the notice, the price adjustment follows a decline in the price of pure gold in the local market.
Under the revised rates:
Previously, on April 15, BAJUS increased gold prices. At that time, 22-carat gold rose by Tk 2,216 to Tk 2,50,193 per bhori.
With the latest revision, gold prices have been adjusted 56 times so far this year—raised 32 times and reduced 24 times. In 2025, prices were revised 93 times, including 64 increases and 29 decreases.
