The central command of the Jatiyatabadi Krira Dal approved an 85-member convening committee for its Pabna district unit on Sunday (July 12).
The approval letter was officially signed by the central committee's Convener, Niaz Morshed, and Member Secretary, Zahed Parvez Chowdhury.
The newly formed committee is heavily represented by prominent local sports figures. Former national footballer Tariqul Islam Dablu takes on the role of member secretary, while former badminton player Touhidul Islam has been designated as the office-in-charge.
The remaining members of the 85-person committee include a diverse group of former district-level athletes, local sports organizers, and sports journalists.
Following the announcement, Convener Anisul Haque Babu emphasized the committee's focus on youth engagement. "Sports play a vital role in curbing social anomalies and crime," he said. "Through the Jatiyatabadi Krira Dal, we aim to keep our teenagers and young adults engaged on the field to foster their physical and mental development."
