


The Bangladesh government formally expressed its condolences on Monday following the passing of Qatar's former Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
To mark the nation's respect Local Government Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir visited the Qatari Embassy in Gulshan, Dhaka to sign the official book of condolences on behalf of the government. Acting as the senior-most minister Mirza Fakhrul also penned a message of sympathy to honour the late leader's legacy.
During the embassy visit the minister was accompanied by the Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Adviser, Humaiun Kobir highlighting the diplomatic importance of the gesture.
