


Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has arrived in Barishal for a one-day official visit, marking his first tour of the district since assuming office.
Departing from his Gulshan residence in Dhaka at 6:00 am on Monday, July 13, the Prime Minister reached the rally venue at Batajor Union in Gournadi Upazila by 9:30 am.
His schedule prominently features environmental initiatives. He will inaugurate a tree plantation programme along the newly excavated Sarikal Canal in Batajor Union. He is also set to participate in additional tree planting efforts at the Trish Godown Memorial Killing Ground and the adjacent Sagardi area in the Barishal district headquarters.
Following these civic events, Prime Minister Rahman will transition to political duties in the afternoon. He is scheduled to hold a meeting to exchange views with local leaders of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its associate bodies at the district Shilpakala Academy.
