Guardian Life Settles Tk 334 Crore in Claims in First Half of 2026

Guardian Life Insurance Limited has continued its strong claims settlement momentum, settling insurance claims worth Tk 334.09 crore during the first half (January–June) of 2026. The amount is 34.3 percent higher than the Tk 248.81 crore settled during the corresponding period last year, extending the company's upward trajectory in claim settlement.

During the six-month period, Guardian disbursed a total of 131,593 claims across life, health, policy maturities and other claims. Of the total amount settled, Tk 175.24 crore was paid against 23,740 death claims, while Tk 140.21 crore was disbursed for 104,259 health insurance claims. The company also settled 3,594 claims under policy maturities and other claims, amounting to Tk 18.65 crore.

The steady rise in claim settlement builds on Guardian's expanding customer base and growing insurance portfolio. The insurer's continued investment in digital innovation, streamlined verification and faster turnaround times has also helped improve the efficiency and timeliness of claim settlement.

Alongside these efforts, Guardian has continued to simplify claims-related procedures and strengthen customer support to make the claims process more convenient and transparent for policyholders.

Sheikh Rakibul Karim, FCA, Chief Executive Officer of Guardian Life Insurance Limited, said, "Settling claims promptly is not just an operational responsibility for us; it is the most meaningful way we demonstrate the value of insurance. We are encouraged by the continued growth in our claims settlement, but more importantly, by the confidence our customers continue to place in us."

He added, "Guardian remains committed to making every interaction simpler and faster through technology, strong governance and a customer-first approach."

Guardian continues to expand access to insurance through bancassurance partnerships, microinsurance solutions and digital-first distribution channels.

Today, more than 1.3 crore people across Bangladesh are covered by Guardian's comprehensive insurance protection. The company also serves more than 550 corporate clients and has partnerships with over 500 hospitals nationwide, enabling policyholders to access cashless medical services.
