The Bishwa Zaker Manzil Atrashi Darbar Sharif in Faridpur’s Sadarpur upazila was enveloped in a deeply spiritual atmosphere as it observed the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH). The vividly decorated premises echoed with continuous zikir-askar and darud-salaam throughout the religious gatherings.
Over 100,000 devotees from across the country converged at the Darbar Sharif to participate in the solemnities which included obligatory, sunnah and nafl prayers alongside milad and doa mahfils.
Kabirul Islam Siddiqui head of the Greater Faridpur unit of the Bishwa Zaker Manzil Atrashi Karmi Group stated that day-and-night programmes were organised to mark the holy occasion. These featured extensive discussions on the life, works and ideals of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) followed by night-long special prayers.
To accommodate the massive influx of devotees traveling from afar the Darbar Sharif authorities arranged special facilities for their lodging, rest and meals, confirmed Sheikh Raihan coordinator of Bishwa Zaker Manzil.
The spiritual observance formally concluded on Wednesday morning following the Fajr prayers. A special munajat (supplication) was offered also seeking divine blessings, peace and prosperity for the country, the nation and the entire Muslim Ummah.
