


Thousands of people took part in a grand procession in Banshkhali, Chittagong to celebrate Eid-e-Miladunnabi on Sunday morning.
The event was jointly organized by Ahle Sunnat Wal Jama'at, the Gausia Committee Bangladesh Kathria Branch and Allama Gazi Sher-e-Bangla (RA) Smriti Sangsad in Kathria Union.
Participants gathered on foot and in vehicles at Chunati Bazar before the procession moved through Kathria's main roads and reached Bagmara Alishah (Rah.) Sunni Dakhil Madrasa ground, where it concluded with a Milad Mahfil and prayers.
Thousands of devotees joined the rally with chanting "Allahu Akbar" in honor of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Maulana Nesar Uddin Muniri, Arabic lecturer at Banshkhali Hamediya Madrasa, presided over the Milad Mahfil while Amir Hossain moderated the event. Gausia Committee Kathria Union Branch President Mohammad Harunur Rashid delivered the welcome speech.
Other speakers included Abu Bakkar Sikder former chairman Shahjahan Chowdhury, Upazila Jubo Dal member secretary Russell Chowdhury, Hafez Abdul Wahed, Abdul Malek Ashrafi, Abdur Rahman Rezvi, Sergeant Nur Hossain Talukder, Advocate Mohiuddin and Abdur Rahman Alkaderi.
Social and political leaders, students and people from various backgrounds joined the celebration also marking the occasion with unity and religious devotion.
